How To Keep Your Internet Running Smooth

Posted by unknown On Tuesday, October 2, 2012 0 comments

If you are like most people, there is a good chance you use the internet on a daily basis. Since almost anything can be accomplished online nowadays, it is easy to see why. Sometimes the internet does not always run as smoothly as we would like it to, though. This can easily get frustrating if you are trying to get a bunch of things done. Luckily the following tips will teach you how to keep your internet running smoothly, so you can always surf the web worry-free.
1. Maintain a Secure Connection
Maintaining a secure internet connection is one way to keep your internet running smoothly. When you set up your connection, make sure you use strong passwords that no one else can guess. Also be sure that you have a form of encryption in place so your information cannot be easily cracked by others. If you do not maintain a secure connection, there is a good chance your neighbors will take advantage of your internet signal. If you “share” your signal with others, it will likely not run as smoothly. It is a good idea to take a minute to secure your connection if you have not done so already.
2. Perform Regular Cleanups
Another way to keep your internet running smoothly is to perform regular cleanups of your computer. By taking the time to remove unnecessary temporary internet files and cookies on a regular basis, it can help keep the internet running smoothly. These sometimes annoying files are created every time you visit a webpage, so they accumulate quickly and can clog your computer’s memory. It is a good idea to do a weekly cleanup to remove these unnecessary items. All you have to do is go into the “Internet Options” menu and there will be an option for you to delete these files.
3. Use Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware Software
In order to keep your internet running smoothly, it is very important to have updated anti-virus and anti-spyware software in place at all times. These programs prevent nasty things from making their way onto your computer’s hard drive and causing chaos for both your internet connection and computer.
4. Always Check for Running Programs
Although you may not think that running programs in the background will influence your internet’s performance, in all reality it can. Before you get on the internet, make sure there are no programs running in the background on your computer. Programs such as anti-virus software and system updates often run automatically and can use much of your computer’s bandwidth. This in turn can cause your internet to run slower. It is a good idea to adjust the settings of your anti-virus and system update software so they run during the middle of the night, when you are less likely to be online.
5. Keep Your Browser and Drivers Updated
To help keep your internet running smoothly, you should always keep your internet browser, firmware, and drivers updated. Check your internet browser regularly to see if you are using the latest version, as the most recent versions usually run the smoothest. Also check the website of your router’s manufacturer to see if there are any updates for the drivers or firmware. These little updates may seem insignificant, but they often fix minor issues with your equipment.
6. Avoid File Sharing Programs
Programs that allow you to share files with other internet users can be detrimental to both your internet’s performance and your computer’s health. This is especially true for free music-sharing programs. In addition to using lots of memory, these programs often run constantly. Downloading files from unknown sources can also up your risk for viruses and other threats. To keep your internet running smoothly, it is best to avoid using these programs altogether.
Now that you know these helpful tips, you should be able to keep your internet running smoothly at all times. Sometimes your computers registry files maybe corrupted due to constant exposure to these threats. In that case you may want to clean your registry and optimize your I personally have been using some tools to fix Windows Errors Optimize PC, which is very effective. Once you see the results, you will be so glad you took the time to put these simple tips to work.

Posted by unknown On Saturday, May 14, 2011 0 comments

Internet Explorer 9 crashes are a big problem that's caused by your PC being unable to properly process the settings & options that this program requires to run. We've found that although this is an important part of the Windows system, it's continually causing a large number of problems which will lead it to crash. This tutorial is going to show you how to fix the Internet Explorer 9 crashes issues on your system in the most effective way possible.

What Causes Internet Explorer 9 To Crash?

  • Your PC will have problems with its files & settings
  • Windows will not be able to process the registry settings it needs to run
  • Windows will be out of date

How To Fix Internet Explorer 9 Crashes

This program is tricky because it's a central part of Windows, meaning that if you have a number of problems with it - it's not like you can just re-use the tool and make it run faster again.

We've found that the best way to fix the problem with IE9 is to first make sure that Windows is up to date. This can be done by clicking onto "Start", selecting "All Programs" and then picking "Windows Update" to help load up the files and programs which your system requires to operate. This will make sure that Windows is up to date as much as possible - boosting its speed and reliability.

On top of updating Windows, we also recommend disabling and then re-enabling the Internet Explorer 9 application on your PC. This can be done by clicking onto "Start", selecting "Control Panel" and then choosing "Programs and Features". Inside here, you should click onto "Disable Features" and then remove the Internet Explorer 9 program. After that, restart your PC and then re-enable the tool using the same process.

It's also recommended that you use a registry cleaner to fix any of the potential problems that Windows may have left inside. The registry is a central database which stores all the important settings that your PC will require to run. We've found this part of your system is continually going to be causing errors for IE 9, making it vital that you're able to fix any of the problems that it may have by using a registry cleaner tool. We recommend using a program called Frontline Registry Cleaner to achieve this, as this will fix the most problems on your system.

Tips To Track Anonymous Calls

Posted by unknown On 0 comments

Reverse phone search is one of the best ways of tracing unknown calls. On a lazy afternoon, when all you can think about is not moving from the couch in your comfortable position for the next 100 years or so, you suddenly may receive an SMS or a call from an unknown number.

You feel too lazy to actually answer or even reply, because for all you know it could be a telemarketer or just someone you can't be bothered with right at that moment. Or, you feel just too comfortable browsing or chatting away on your laptop. But the tiny thought remains - what if it is something important?

At these times, a reverse phone search service is your best choice. You don't have to get up, or do anything. Just open another browser window, and load the page of any reputed Reverse phone search website. An online reverse cell phone lookup will tell you at once, for just a small fee, the details of the person who owns that number.

Thus, if it is a telemarketer trying to reach you, you will be able to find out at once. You can then decide whether you would like to return the call or just ignore it and continue in your new found bliss. The reverse cell phone lookup service will be able to tell you details like employment status and information, address and contact details.

Thus, if it is an old friend trying to contact you or someone from work you will be able to find out, and then return their calls to avoid any troubles or complications.

These days, reverse cell phone lookup services stretch beyond telling you the details of a person with a currently in-service phone number. You can also trace people and get their latest contact details even if you don't have their updated phone numbers. It is much better than having to depend on social networking sites any day.

The results of a reverse phone search service are obtained in the form of a simple, easy to read and quickly downloadable report which takes less than a few minutes to be delivered to you. You will not even have to waste too much time on the entire business.

However, make sure that you use a paid reverse phone search website. This will ensure that the data which you get has been updated to the last minute, and has the most recent updated information. The free reverse phone search websites on the other hand, are not even worth the trouble.

Key Locked In Your Car?

Posted by unknown On Sunday, February 6, 2011 1 comments
Maybe you have felt that anxiety: not even a second after your car door locks shut, you notice that the vehicle is all secure and your keyring is inside the car. What will you do? How will you secure a ride home? Do you know where and if you keep an extra car key? All of this goes through your mind aside from the most critical question: How are you going to fix this?
The most obvious solution is to remember your spare key. Generally, anytime you purchase your car, you’re handed two keys. One set you carry with you, and the other is best hidden away somewhere safe. If you have a person who can pick up the duplicate key and bring it to where you are, then the most you have lost is a little time fretting, and a bit of pride.
Still, perhaps you don’t have a person in a position to assist, or maybe your spare key is missing. A viable solution is to call your auto club, or any roadside assistance service. If your car is still within the timeframe of the standard warranty, then you potentially already have a roadside assistance plan. If not, but you or any passenger with you is a member of a club like AAA, then that provider can provide assistance.
Your third option for assistance is to contact a locksmith. He can come to your car and find a way to open your car door for a price. However, such a service call can cost more bucks than you are ready to spend, more so after everyday business hours.
Your last alternative is to pop the lock yourself. You will want to attempt this on a car door that’s not one you open as often, perhaps the rear passenger side, just in case you don’t get it done right. You’re going to need an unbent wire clothes hanger, or something similar, with a long, thin reaching implement and a strong curve on the end. In a dark setting you will need a flashlight or other such light source. You will also potentially have use for something small but not critical, for example a pen.
Push the black, rubbery gasket away from the window and keep the spot open by squeezing the pen or pencil into the space. Peer down along the hole you have made into your vehicle door. You will see an iron rod that works the door lock. Very deliberately push the clothes hanger hook-side down into the car door. Manuever the hook to catch the iron rod and shimmy the metal rod in the direction that the door unlocks from the interior. When the vehicle clicks open, carefully slide the coat hanger and the space holder out of the door frame and open your vehicle.
The best idea is to prepare a contingency plan in case you find you locked your keys in the car again!

Save Money on Credit Card Payments

Posted by Jeekers On Saturday, February 5, 2011 0 comments
This is not a very good economy in which to be in serious debt which is why you need to be aware of the ways on how to cut corners such as saving money on credit card payments.

A lot of people do not realize that they actually spend thousands of dollars every year on credit card interest alone. Every time you charge something on your plastic, you are automatically signing up to pay for the interest as well.

Here are some things you can do to avoid paying more money to credit card companies:

• Do not use credit cards to pay your utilities i.e. power bills, water, gas, etc.
• Do not use credit cards on grocery or food items i.e. eating out
• Avoid charging expensive appliances that would augment your credit card balance
• Think twice before you sign up for an increase in your credit limit. The more money you think you can spend, the likelier it is that you would run a higher balance and pay larger interest.
• Do not be fooled with 0% interest rates because most credit card companies do not honor this agreement longer than 3 months after you start using the card.
• As much as possible, pay a lot more than the minimum monthly due. Credit card companies have figured out that the lower amount of money they require from card holders per month, the more they will use plastic because of the illusion of easy payments.
• Avoid making cash advances because the interest rates applied on such charges are at least twice as high as when you charge any other item on the card.
• Make payments on time to avoid any late fees. What most credit card holders do not pay much attention to is the fact that late fees will increase the overall balance which can lead to over the limit fees. These are the things that credit card companies will not tell you because they get a lot of revenue through these mishaps.
• Do not accept all credit card offers that come in the mail. Keep in mind that credit card companies will always be interested in your business because they know the attraction of purchasing power.
• Maintain no more than 3 credit cards especially if you are living on a modest income. Most people make the mistake of getting too many cards that they end up losing thousands of dollars every year on interest rates alone.

Rank High On Google In Just 48 Hours

Posted by Jeekers On Wednesday, November 17, 2010 0 comments

Believe it or not, it’s easy to rank high on the Google search engine in 48 hours. There may be various SEO techniques out there, but here is one that works for me.

Most people who work online must have heard of Alexa. Alexa is a website in which you can find out the traffic ranks of any website in a snapshot. In other words, this gives you a good measure of how much traffic a website is bringing in. Now, which websites will help you get your pages to rank high in Google in 48 hours?
There are many article websites on the web (articlebiz, ezinearticles etc). You can find out the articles that rank the highest simply by searching for article them on google. Simply enter your search keywords (articles sites, article submission etc.) in the Google search engine and click enter. Take a good look at the search results that appear after you enter your keyword or phrase. These articles that show up on the front page are valuable; probably beating millions of other results for that keyword.
Submit your articles to high ranking article websites and your webpages will probably have a better chance of getting near the front page of Google. If you have doubts about website traffic rank, use Alexa. There are other factors that play a role here, but this is one helpful hint to how you can get a better chance of ranking high on Google fast and free.
Here is what I do.
1) Go to Google Adwords Keyword Tool
2) Enter keywords of your subject
3) Find a keyword that has very little competition
4) Use those keywords as your article title(this is crucial). Also include those keywords in your article post a few times(this is also crucial).
5)Go to alexa or google and search article sites. Once you know which sites rank the highest on Google, sign up for those article sites and submit your articles with the same keywords in your title, and the same keywords in your article a few times
6) Submit your article.
After a few days, go to the google search engine and type in those keywords you used. Scroll down the search results to see your article in the first 1-3 pages.
Note that this method works depending on which keywords you use.
Good Luck! Hope that helped!
