Hi friends,Airtel has blocked the previous trick for accessing 3G with 2G plan. So we can't use 3G by recharging with 2G plans anymore. But don't worry there is a new trick. For this trick to work first you need to use 2G and 3G plans together. Ok here is how it works.
First send 3G to 121
Then you will be told that you have already activated 3G with two options 1. Data plans 2. Deactivate 3G
Send 1 and wait. After a few minutes you will get a list of 3G plans starting from 10mb for 8rs plan.(Or the cheapest 3G plan available in your region) Activate that plan but don't use it. Dial *567# and activate a 2G plan as you like.
Now Enjoy 3G speed again with 2G plans!!!

Hello friends you might have tried my post Best Airtel Trick 2011: Get 3G Speed With 2G Plan using a 3G handset and configuring it to use only 3G network. But some of my friends complained that eventhough it is working fine they were facing constant disconnection while downloading when the download speed crossed 200kbps and above. That was a big disadvantage for using it on PC. But now the happy news is that this disconnection problem has a solution!!!
All you have to do is download this hotfix from microsoft http://support.microsoft.com/hotfix/KBHotfix.aspx?kbnum=925681&kbln=en-us that will allow your nokia USB modem (your phone modem) to cross download speeds above 200kbps and you will never face the connection timed out problem again.
Connect using nokia ovi suit itself instead of nokia pc internet acces to get even better speeds.

Hi friends I have found the best airtel trick of 2011 :)
Things you need.
1)3G or 3.5G Mobile Phone (preferably Nokia s60)
2)Activate 3G on your phone by sending 3G to 121
2)Dial *567# and choose a 2G GPRS Plan and Activate
Then go to your phone settings >> Network Settings
Network Mode:UMTS
Operator Selection:Automatic
Now connect to your pc and enjoy 3G speeds :)
Browse and Download at rocking speeds :)
